Virlena McUne
Salon Owner & Stylist

I love what I do while maintaining a loyal and diverse clientele as a hairdresser at Indigo Salon. With over 25 years of experience, I continue to perfect my skills and, I’m always eager to work with countless professionals to achieve the highest quality of salon services.

Detail-oriented and thorough, I specialize in haircutting and coloring in fresh new ways by educating myself in the latest hair trends. I am color certified with hands-on experience using several professional color lines. My experience also includes having worked as a trainer for Sebastian International and teaching at one of the area beauty academies in Denver. I have participated in hundreds of weddings, runway fashion and stage work for Fashion for the Cure, The Denver Art Institute Runway Show, area bridal expos, and numerous salon competitions.

In 2018, after being part of the team at Indigo for 13 years, the opportunity presented itself to take over the business. Without even a second thought, a dream was achieved! My salon concepts have taken what was already such a great place to be, to a higher level! Having a background in leadership and customer service, the team and I at Indigo, continue to grow and perfect our craft.

Marika Laing
Esthetician

I love my work. I love meeting new people and helping them care for their most precious asset—their skin! In my early years as a make-up artist, I enjoyed helping people actualize their different personas by applying makeup. Working in a retail setting allowed me to see what people are really looking for. I also learned a lot about what people like and dislike most about their skin. I wanted to be educated on how to help!

Now, as an esthetician, I love helping people cultivate their natural glow and unique beauty. My approach is simple, yet informative. My goal is to help you fall in love with your skin and teach you how to maintain it at home. I am here to remind you that with a little time and attention, you can bring your skin to the next level of health and beauty.

Emmy Dill
Hair Artist

My name is Emmy Dill. I’m 29 years young and I am a multi-talented hair artist with a notorious career spanning over 8+ years. As a painter, digital artist, and fashion design enthusiast, my creative interests transcend traditional boundaries that reflect my unique approach to hairstyling. Specializing in lived-in color techniques, including expertly crafted balayage, striking blonding services, Diva-curl certified, cuts, and a sprinkle of fashion colors, my passion for artistry shines through in every transformation I create.

I’m currently pursuing my BFA in Graphic Design and will be finished in October 2023. This background allows me to seamlessly weave my artistic sensibilities into my hair-coloring formulations. Priding myself on staying up to date with the latest trends and techniques in the hair industry, I’m currently working on taking a hair extensions class to further my career goals. I have a keen eye for color harmony, balance, and composition that allows me to curate personalized looks that accentuate my client’s individuality and personality. Much like an artist’s technique on canvas, my precision and attention to detail turn every strand of hair into a masterpiece. With me, clients not only get a top-notch hair artist, but an imaginative visionary, bringing my two worlds of art and hair together in a symphony of creativity and style.

Hair Artist

I’m a queer, non-binary hairstylist who believes getting your hair done should be easy, affirming, and fun. I understand the power of a good haircut and want to help folks look and feel like their best, authentic selves. After getting my bachelor’s degree in theatre, I pivoted to get my cosmetology license at Aveda Institute Denver. Best choice ever! I love what I do and am always taking classes and workshops to continue learning how to be the best stylist I can be.

I specialize in creative colors, razor cuts, and curly cuts and color. Outside of work, I love longboarding, spending time with my dog, Zeppelin, taking naps, and looking for cool rocks while adventuring outside.
